George and his son George Neville's trips on to the continent.
Both travelled extensively, apparently for both business and pleasure, sending postcards home as we might text or email.
Many of these postcards were sent to George's youngest son William who kept them and they passed down his branch of the family. George Neville took photos and they passed on down his line. Putting the postcards, photos and the odd letter together we have a pretty good idea of how often and far they travelled.
George Neville must have become quite proficient at German to receive the thanks of the City of Birmingham Council.
