The photo was probably taken in 1939 or 1940 as Jack Copeland and Ruth Sperryn married in November 1939. Also in the photo are two of Bert's sisters: Alice who married George Sperryn and Marjory. George and Alice have 4 of their 6 children in the photo. The photo was taken at George Sperryn's holiday home where, judging from the photos, Bert & Dora were frequent visitors, as were Daphne & Marjory. George bought the holiday home in 1930 and it's still in the family today, 2 generations later. Return to George's Scrapbook
