Charlotte Jones' Photograph Album 1876![]() Photographs were cutting edge technology and just a reprint cost about the same as 3 pints of beer, which was more than the cost of a flannel shirt. (Using 1888 information from http://www.victorianweb.org/economics/wages4.html and the advert on the back of one of the photos in the album ![]() ![]() Charlotte's bother John Lee (26) married Minnie Piper (18) later in the same year (26.October). George and Charlotte, then living in Toronto were the witnesses. John Lee and Minnie are most probably two of the unnamed people in Charlotte's album. Charlotte hadn't met her in-laws when she married and this could explain why Sperryns are named on the back of the photos. There's a photo of her father in-law (identified from a named photo), so it seems likely that her whole family is here, but sadly we'll probably never know who's who.
